Ethiopia Natural - Medium
A natural process Ethiopia from Benti Nenka.
Spice, citrus, dried peach, and apricot.
One Pound/ 16oz
Benti Nenka is in the Hambela Wamena region of Ethiopia’s Guji Zone, a place known for its great coffee.
I have loved Ethiopian coffee since the first time I tried it. It’s just so well-rounded and fun. If you drop the coffee shortly after first crack you get wonderful sweet and fruity flavors that are great for any coffee-making discipline. But if you let the coffee develop further, dark chocolate and malt flavors appear. This makes it great for espresso and medium roast coffee drinkers, while still offering a pleasant, sweet acidity that light roast drinkers can enjoy.
For this lot I decided to get a natural process over washed as the natural provides a fun and funky flavor that you cannot replicate with washed. This allows me to roast the coffee for longer and provide you guys with an omni roast. An omni roast means that regardless of whether you are using a pourover, drip coffee, or an espresso machine you will be getting the absolute best that the coffee can offer.
This is the first coffee I’ve roasted and I’m lucky to say that it is one I am very proud of. I spent probably way too much time and wasted way too much coffee dialing things in - but I knew that my very supportive friends and family would be the ones drinking it, so I had to get things right.
Whether you are my friends from Jittery Joes, or my family I hope you enjoy this coffee because nothing would make me happier.
Thank you all for your support.
